i'm still here...

can you believe it, my under one year old computer crashed.

so for now, i am sitting in my youngest son's room using his computer. and let me tell you, it is not a pleasant place to be. how can one 15 year old boy be so....so...gah, smelly. dusty. have so many icky food containers laying around. i had to lysol my way to his desk.

how can this lair be home to my little boy who used to sort his legos as he put them away?? what the heck happened?

at any rate, instead of being able to show you my awesome cabled scarf i just finished (because my camera doesn't connect to this computer) i am going to put on rubber gloves and get a 40 gallon hefty bag in here, along with the rug shampooer.

so much for the creative buzz i woke up with...

  1. Hi Deb, Well, you know my son Frankie is home on leave right now. I fixed up the cottage for he and his girlfriend, and walked through it the other morning and about died! YUCK!!! It smelled like smelly old socks! He's only been home a few days and it smells like a year! Oh well...it's still wonderful to have him home! Marcia

  2. Oh gosh, I'm so sorry for the mess you're in. Literally! Boys, huh? I hope he appreciates your cleaning it up for him. Too bad about the computer. That really sucks, less than 1 year! I swear, sometimes I think about swearing off computers for good because of things like that - the crashing and viruses and all the ugly possibilities with the hacking and stuff... but I just can't imagine not being connected anymore! It would probably cause me greater and more painful withdrawal than quitting smoking did. Well I wish you all the best in getting it fixed, or getting yourself a new one (or hijacking your sons out of his room. tee hee!)

Also, I wanted to thank you for your warm comments, good wishes, prayers, condolensces for my grandmother. I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to you. Thank you so much! xoxo Serena
