why i miss my little girl so much...

this morning i got an email from my daughter. this was all it said ~

"I believe that always, or almost always, in all childhoods and in all the lives that follow them, the mother represents madness, our mothers always remain the strangest, craziest people we've ever met."
-Marguerite Duras, French Writer

i am very blessed to have a child who knows this is the best compliment i could ever hope to get.

you asked me if i would come to kodiak and lead a fisherwoman retreat.
    why, yes i would.
you raise the airfare and enough money to cover the hotel, and i'll put it all together, teach the classes, find other teachers, do it all.

i will wait to hear from you. hahahahaha

  2. Oh my goodness, these words are so right on! And I guess it can go both ways, because my mom seems intent on driving me batty as well.

Thank you so much for your wonderful comments to me. You made me feel so good! I only wish I was like you said. Sure, by the time I get to blogging about a thing, I've reeled myself in a bit, but I've got to confess... I can certainly be whimpery and whiney about these things.

A bear?! Yikes! That makes a mouse seem like a mosquito. I'd be absolutely freaking terrified if I had a bear chewing on my garbage cans. What have you been doing for that? Good luck finding a way to make him go away - and do be careful!
